Free tips, videos & recordings

Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter!
I'll be in touch periodically with tips, videos and recordings. But in the meanwhile if you go to my freebies page you can listen to a hypnotherapy recording right now if you like!

Who am I?

I’m a therapist... more specifically, a hypnotherapist, a CBT therapist, an NLP practitioner, and a therapeutic coach. Previously, a massage therapist, reflexologist, and aromatherapist. I'm a writer (on therapy, hypnosis, mental health, and talking therapies) as well as a storyteller, and poet, hypnotherapy trainer and clinical supervisor.

A born-again Yorkshire woman, raised in Surrey, now happily settled in Hebden Bridge. I love reading, sewing, movie-going (Picture House, not multiplex), steam trains, narrowboats, jazz (any era), and live music in small venues. Art, dance, dogs (especially sighthounds), Northern Bloc ice cream, and anything made with rhubarb.

I hate racism, indoctrination, exploitation, injustice, cruelty, misogyny, energy drinks, and okra.

What I do

I’m keen for you to get results in the shortest possible time and that's why I use hypnotherapy and CBT as my primary therapies, alongside therapeutic coaching and other psychotherapeutic techniques. I've been a therapist for a very long time and I'm known for getting quick, long-lasting results. My unique blend of hypnosis and talking therapy is supremely effective and that's why I've been teaching others how to successfully transform client's lives at my hypnotherapy training academy based in London and Yorkshire.

In my experience change doesn’t need to be protracted or painful, however messy your back story is. I’ll help you to ditch the narrative that’s keeping you small, fearful, stuck or miserable so that you can make choices based on your potential, not old outdated patterns.

Why me?

I have thousands of client hours experience, enough certificates to paper your front room with, and many years teaching new hypnotherapists at my hypnotherapy training academy. I have honed my craft so that I can offer you honest, heart-led therapy that is individual to you. There is no 'one size fits all' when working with human beings and my expertise lies in identifying what will work best for you and doing that quickly.

I promise that I will listen to you without judgement and do my very best to help you using all the skills that I have. It doesn't matter if you've had hypnotherapy before, like vets or dentists, doctors or teachers we are all different. If you are tempted to reach out or want to find out more, give me a call, send me an email or book a free no-obligation consultation; I'd love to hear from you!

What I Do

I work with clients whose self-talk is sabotaging their aspirations or sucking the joy out of their life. Maybe Imposter syndrome causes them to work longer and harder, but despite great achievements, they still fear being rumbled as a fraud. Or perhaps the fear of public speaking or talking in meetings leaves them sleep-deprived or sick to the pit, or even quitting a job they love.

I’m keen to help you get results in the shortest possible time. In my experience change doesn’t need to be protracted or painful, however messy your back story is. I don’t want to take your money to just listen and nod for weeks, months, or years; hopefully, you have got friends or family for tea and sympathy. Yes, I’ll provide tea (Yorkshire of course) and I’ll listen and ask you questions so that I can notice negative patterns or unhelpful beliefs and get a sense of where we need to do the work. Using a blend of hypnosis and other talking therapies, I help you to stop running your old script so that you can give fear the middle finger and reconnect with your brilliance.
I’ll help you to get your mojo back. And that’s not all... You’ll learn techniques from me that you can use whenever you need them.

If you want to tell your head chatter to shut the hell up, book a free consultation to discover how I might help you. I’m not a fan of braggers or blaggers, so I’m not going to say I’m the best or guarantee this or that, but I’ve been doing this for a long while now and I’m a bit of a whizz at helping people sort out their shizz! Don’t take my word for it. "Today is the first day in months or maybe years that I’ve felt calm and happy!! It’s absolutely amazing (I’m sad to say it feels a bit strange!) but very nice. Thank you for listening and for being down to earth about my recent work challenges."

Is it time to go sober?

How long does it take to break a habit? As a regular wine imbiber I quit my routine glugging when advised to prior to a recent operation. Then, in recovery (from the op, not the booze) I stayed mostly dry, just enjoying the occasional G & T. Was it a challenge? No, not really. I loved my FeverTree tonics with my Seedlip non-gin gin. My reflux ...Read More >
